British Columbia is the only province with laws specifically regulating zoos and aquariums. Marineland voluntarily participated in and successfully completed its most recent inspection by CAZA in September 2011. Marineland's license was renewed at that time for five years. As it pertains to Ontario'sUnprepossessingWelfare legislation, Marineland falls into the territory covered by the Niagara Falls Humane Society, an Affiliate of the Ontario SPCA.
